Through research, education, and community programs, we work to preserve Myaamia history, sustain the Myaamia language, and create opportunities for Myaamia artists, scholars, and citizens to share their knowledge with each other and the world. This free public event celebrates the cultural revitalization of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma. Held in the former Myaamia (Miami) village of Kiihkayonki, in what is now Fort Wayne, IN, the festival will feature Myaamia art forms, hands-on activities, and opportunities to learn directly from tribal artists and cultural leaders.
